Showroom and product-launch cleaning: protect displays and plan the reset
Prepare a cleaning scope for a showroom or product launch with no-touch displays, vendor responsibilities and visitor-ready surfaces.
Distinguish the room from the display
A product launch may place fragile, valuable or unfamiliar materials throughout an otherwise ordinary room. Start by separating the areas to be cleaned from the merchandise, prototypes and display objects that must not be handled. Identify the person authorized to answer questions about those items. A cleaning booking should not be treated as permission to move stock, restyle a display or clean a product whose care requirements are unknown.
Set a no-touch plan before installation ends
Mark display areas, cables, equipment and objects that should remain untouched. Explain which surrounding floors or surfaces can be accessed safely and what must wait until the display team finishes. If the launch involves glass cases, mirrors or delicate finishes, specify the requested surfaces and provide relevant care instructions. Do not assume that the cleaner will identify materials correctly from appearance or that a general product can be used on every installation.
Schedule preparation after the work that creates debris
Coordinate installers, deliveries and setup crews with the cleaning window. A room cleaned before unpacking or construction activity may need another visit. Ask whether installation debris is included and distinguish it from ordinary event waste. Heavy objects, packaging removal and specialist post-construction work need separate assessment. Build the plan around the actual completion of setup rather than the optimistic time when vendors hope to finish.
Plan support around visitor flow
If you need cleaning during the launch, identify the spaces and duties: agreed bathroom checks, accessible circulation areas or another accepted task. Clarify who responds to issues near merchandise and who decides when a display zone can be accessed. Event support must be booked explicitly; a pre-event visit does not imply staff will remain on call throughout the launch. Keep instructions with one event contact so different exhibitors do not add conflicting requests.
Define what happens after the guests leave
Confirm when display teams remove merchandise, who handles rental returns and when final cleaning can begin. If the showroom remains installed, agree how the reset differs from an empty-space clean. Have an authorized person review the work without changing the agreed no-touch boundaries. For JPN, provide the venue, floor plan, setup schedule, protected zones and service stages. Ask for confirmation of scope, feasibility and price before including cleaning in the event's final run sheet.
