Apartment cleaning cost in Manhattan: prices and quote checklist

Two apartments with the same bedroom count can need different cleaning plans. Bathroom count, floor area, buildup and optional tasks all affect the work involved. Use a quote request to describe the home you actually have rather than relying on a borough-wide average. The most useful price is one tied to a written scope.

The short answer

JPN Cleaning lists standard cleaning from $125 for a studio, $175 for a one-bedroom/one-bathroom apartment and $250 for a two-bedroom/two-bathroom apartment, before applicable tax. Deep cleaning and move-out cleaning need a custom quote. These are JPN starting prices, not a New York market average.

Use starting prices as a reference

JPN Cleaning currently lists standard-cleaning starting prices of $125 for a studio, $175 for one bedroom and one bathroom, and $250 for two bedrooms and two bathrooms, before applicable tax. These are starting points, not fixed prices for every home. Deep cleaning and move-in or move-out work require a custom quote. Check the linked service page for current prices before making a decision.

Describe size and condition separately

Send bedroom and bathroom counts, approximate square footage if known, and the type of cleaning you need. Mention accumulated buildup or areas requiring extra attention. A larger home with accessible surfaces is a different brief from a smaller home with many items covering counters. If you do not know the floor area, say so; useful room counts and priorities are better than an invented figure.

Include the tasks outside routine upkeep

Appliance and cabinet interiors, laundry and organizing are not automatically part of a standard appointment. Ask about each extra in advance, including whether shelves or appliances will be empty. Special finishes and preferred products also need discussion. This lets the quote distinguish agreed work from requests that require separate review.

Explain building access and timing

For a walk-up, give the floor and stair arrangements. For an elevator building, check entry registration, service-elevator hours and any required documents with management. Share your preferred frequency and date; recurring timing and pricing are confirmed individually. Access constraints can affect the practical appointment window even when the apartment itself is straightforward.

Common questions

Why can two one-bedroom apartments receive different quotes?

Bathroom count, floor area, condition and requested tasks can differ. Compare a clear scope for each home. A low headline figure does not tell you whether an oven interior or additional bathroom is covered.

Is an hourly rate cheaper than a flat quote?

Compare the same work and ask whether an hourly price is per cleaner. For illustration only, two cleaners working two hours equals four cleaner-hours. This is arithmetic, not a JPN rate or duration estimate. Confirm the total, team size and exclusions before deciding.

Can I get a firm price from the starting-price table?

No. Send your apartment details and priorities for confirmation. Do not use a standard-cleaning starting price as a deep-cleaning or move-out estimate. Ask for applicable tax and any agreed extras in the final total.

Make it your own

A brief you can use

Quote brief to adapt: Manhattan apartment; ZIP ____; bedrooms ____; bathrooms ____; approximate size ____; standard/deep/move-out ____; condition ____; requested interiors ____; stairs or elevator ____; preferred date ____. Please confirm the included tasks, exclusions and total before booking.

Adapt these planning fields before requesting a quote. Keep entry codes and other sensitive access details out of public documents.
